Phuket Tour on March

Sawat dee ka..

Hi, guys! I am back again with the post of my newest journey. This time i went to Phuket, Thailand. Phuket is a nice place to go, it has so many islands around with a crystal clear sea water. This was my planned trip though I booked the airplane tickets 4 months ago, i didn't get the cheapest rates. I used AirAsia which has direct flight to Phuket from Jakarta. I paid Rp 3,033,000.- for 3 persons (return tickets and pre purchase baggage 20kgs). I took tour package for this trip, from so many travel agents who offered their package, I chose Phuket Thailand travel. I found that this travel agent gave me good price with a good service. They charged us 18,900 Baht (3 persons) for 3 nights stayed at Patong Beach Lodge Hotel + breakfast, one day Phi Phi island tour + lunch, one day James Bond island tour with canoeing + lunch, Simon Cabaret show, City tour + Dinner and also round trip transfer.

I searched all the information about Phuket before our departure day. If you need the map of Phuket go to MapJack then select the city Thailand, Phuket. If you need some information about weather or everything, phuket weather blog or Jamie blog may be useful. Here also the site with so many suggestions of where to eat. You can’t have much choices of cheap restaurant in Patong. I will not recommend to eat seafood there, it’s pretty expensive especially for those that near to the beach. Actually, it all depends on what kind of food you eat, but to me, all the price in Patong is moderate.

Here are some restaurants in Patong that you may try (I got those based on reviews at website) :

- Sea Hag, at Soi Dr. Watthana
- Lair Lay Tong, at Soi Dr. Watthana
- The Orchids, at Soi Dr. Watthana

You can find the 3 restaurants above at the same lane, all at the right side. If you walk along the beach road from south before Bangla Rd and Patong tower, make right turn into the lane when you see Zen Japanese Restaurant building. It is The Orchids at first, then continued with Sea Hag, after that Lair Lay Tong at the end of the lane (see mapjack).

- Number 6 Restaurant, at Rat U Thit Rd

You walk from Bangla Rd with the beach at your back until you reach intersection, make left turn, it is just few meters from there on left side, exactly the opposite of C & N hotel (see mapjack).

- The Sweet Restaurant, at Soi Patong Tower, the lane is in front of Patong Tower

You walk from Bangla Rd until reach the beach Rd, turn left and walk passing Patong Seafood restaurant, walk until you see Subway signboard, turn left directly, it is on the right side (see mapjack for the road but you can’t see the restaurant). If you see McDonalds after Subway signboard, means you are over walk.

- S & G Restaurant, at Soi Post Office
- Sabai Sabai, at Soi Post Office

You walk from Bangla Rd until reach the beach Rd, turn left and walk passing Patong Seafood restaurant, walk passing Subway signboard. Soi Post Office is the third lane after you find Subway signboard, turn left into the lane and S & G Restaurant is on left side meanwhile Sabai Sabai is just the opposite of S & G restaurant (see mapjack). If you see McDonalds after Subway signboard, means you are over walk.

Oh ya, by the way, I learnt a bit of Thai language from this website, hehehe. It’s so fun to practice it when had a bargain or when asking for food. But don’t worry, most of the people there understand simple English.

So, here we go…
